CHARTTHREAD

About ChartThread

We digitized a level methodology traders used to draw by hand.

ChartThread is a market preparation platform. It applies one fixed set of construction rules to every Binance and Bybit symbol, spot and futures, and has the levels, the reaction bias and the net cross-exchange spreads ready before your session starts. It is analytics and context only: there is no trade button, no signals, and no advice.

What ChartThread is, and what it is not

The boundary matters more than the feature list, so we state it plainly: ChartThread prepares the chart, and you make every decision that follows.

What it is

  • Preparation, done before you arrive. The levels are already built, the bias is already computed, and the spread is already net of fees and funding by the time you open the chart.
  • One objective ruleset, applied everywhere. Every chart is measured against the same criteria, so a level either qualifies or it does not. Nothing is drawn by hand and nothing is tuned symbol by symbol.
  • A shortlist out of more than a thousand instruments. The platform's job is to tell you which handful deserve attention today, never what to do with them.
  • A risk calculator that starts from your numbers. You set the risk, the entry and the stop; the platform does the arithmetic and shows you the liquidation price you should never reach.

What it is not

  • Not a signal service. There are no entries, no exits and no alerts telling you to buy. Five traders can act on the same level at five different prices, and the platform decides for none of them.
  • Not a broker and not a bot. ChartThread never asks for exchange API keys or wallet connections, never holds funds, and never places an order. The only account you need is a ChartThread account.
  • Not financial advice. Everything on the platform is probability, and our reading of the market can be wrong. In trading there is no technology that delivers certainty.
  • Not a track record. We publish no win rates and no performance claims, because a statistic we cannot prove is worth nothing to you.

What we believe about levels

Five positions that decide how the platform is built. They are not preferences: every one of them is visible in the product.

A level is a footprint, not a line you draw

A level marks a price where a large participant defended their interest, and that behaviour leaves roughly twelve formally recognizable patterns on a chart. ChartThread looks for those patterns the same way on every symbol, which is what makes a level objective rather than an opinion.

A level is an exact price, never a zone

A zone is comfortable to look at and impossible to trade: you cannot size a position or place a stop from a band. Every ChartThread level is a single number, because risk arithmetic only works with one.

Price can only do three things at a level

It breaks through and continues, it is rejected and bounces away, or it breaks and fails back behind the level. Breakout, bounce, false breakout: recognizing which of the three is unfolding is the entire skill, and the platform exists to train your eye for it.

A bias is a shortlist, not a prophecy

Level reaction bias says a setup deserves attention and which direction the odds lean. It never says the outcome is settled. When an instrument has already spent more than 90% of its average daily range, continuation is simply less likely. That is arithmetic, not prediction.

We say "level", not "support" or "resistance"

The balance of power at a price can flip from buyers to sellers while the level itself stays perfectly valid. Calling it support or resistance picks the direction before the chart has.

Whose methodology is this?

ChartThread is a digital implementation of the level methodology taught by Alexander Gerchik: levels as the footprints of large participants, exact prices instead of zones, and position size derived from the distance to invalidation. We did not invent that framework and we do not claim it.

What we changed is the labour, not the method. A trader following it by hand opens charts one at a time and marks the levels by eye, which caps how much of the market one person can prepare in an evening. ChartThread encodes the same construction rules and runs them continuously across every Binance and Bybit symbol, spot and futures, so the same analysis arrives as data instead of a night of chart work.

That is the whole adjustment: the rules are not ours to improve, but applying them at scale, in real time and without discretion is something software does better than a human ever will. Levels are built on daily candles, so they change at most once a day: a footprint on the higher timeframe does not move with every tick.

Why ChartThread exists

I built it for my own session first

I have spent close to two decades building software, and in one form or another most of it came down to mathematical modelling. Later I spent several years inside banking, as Director of Payments and a member of the extended management board at the largest retail bank in my market, which is where I learned how much of finance is plumbing and how little of it is intuition.

Since 2020 my own work has been trading: crypto, and the inefficiencies that markets leave lying around. My master's thesis was on arbitrage models in decentralized exchanges built on AMMs, and I am now doing PhD research on quant trading systems and the identification of market inefficiencies. ChartThread is the first place that research turned into something other people can use.

It started as research in late 2022. By early 2023 the research had become algorithms, and the algorithms became a tool I used every day: first alone, then inside a small circle, then with co-founders who joined once it was clear this was a product and not a side project. It opened to the public in January 2026.

I still trade on it. That is the one product requirement I have never had to write down: if the platform is not good enough to prepare my own session, it is not good enough to show you. The more traders use it and tell us where it is wrong, the sharper the algorithm gets, which is why early access is free and the only thing we ask for is your feedback.
