Long buyer
A long buyer is a trader who buys to open a long position, a new bet that price will rise. Long buyers buy when they want to.
Long buyers push price up, together with short buyers. Unlike short buyers, nothing forces them to buy: they choose the moment. Once in, a long buyer becomes a future long seller, because the long can only close with a sell.
