Liquidation price
On isolated margin, the liquidation price sits roughly 1 / leverage away from the entry: a long at 80,000 with 20x leverage is liquidated near 76,000 (80,000 × (1 − 1/20)); at 50x, near 78,400. The exchange keeps a small maintenance margin, so the real liquidation price is slightly closer to the entry than this estimate. Every exchange shows it when you open the position.
The rule: for a long, the liquidation price must sit below your stop; for a short, above it. If it sits between your entry and your stop, the exchange closes the trade before your stop can, so lower the leverage until it moves beyond the stop.
