Impulse

An impulse is a fast, strong move of price in one direction, usually away from a level; it shows that someone is acting at that price.

After Ethereum stopped at 1,503.60 for the second time on 26 June 2026, it rose 29% to 1,946.75 by 15 July. An impulse like that away from a price is strong confirmation that a level was there. If price drifts around a level with no reaction, nobody is acting on it today.
