False breakout
A false breakout is a move through a level that fails and returns to the other side, trapping the traders who bought or sold the break.
Price pokes above a level, triggers the stops there, finds no new buyers and falls back below. The breakout buyers are now trapped buyers, and the level becomes their zero point, where many sell to get out.
