Breakout
A breakout is a move of price through a level that holds: price closes beyond the level and continues in the same direction.
A breakout is more probable while a big player is still accumulating, and when the day still has fuel left in its ATR. On 19 August 2026 Solana broke the 77.88 high of a 15-day channel, closed beyond it at 85.37 and rose another 20% in the next 3 days. A move through a level that fails and returns is a false breakout.
